This summer, a Canadian family of three went over to Tokyo, Japan for 10 days to explore possible connections between Japan and St. Albert. One of the Canadians teaches in the Catholic and public schools in St.Albert and was interested in seeing if Albertan Grade 8 students could see sites in Tokyo that relate to the Edo and Meji period and develop an exchange program. Another of the Canadians is a high school student, and they researched all the important sites to see in St.Albert and presented them to Japanese high school students in Japan. The high school student also visited many historical sites that relate to the Edo and Meji period for the most important sites to visit. See links below for journal entries.
